#VoteToLive

The Collective PAC

Challenge

In 2020, The Collective PAC needed a powerful, culture-driven GOTV campaign to mobilize Black voters and cut through voter suppression and apathy in a high-stakes presidential election.

Approach

Zoran partnered with Lead With Love to co-lead #VoteToLive, a nationwide digital and live-stream campaign built to move people from awareness to action. We combined voter registration with voter education to empower Black communities with the knowledge and tools to protect their ballots, navigate shifting voting laws, and understand how voting builds long-term civic power. We produced headline-grabbing virtual events, commissioned original art from BIPOC+ creators, and delivered content designed to inform, inspire, and activate.

Highlights
  • Black Women Leading the Revolution featuring Rep. Ayanna Pressley and BLM Co-Founder Opal Tometi
  • Executive Produced Black Men Voting Forum featuring Marc Lamont Hill, Common, Franklin Leonard, and more, in partnership with BET

From strategy to production, we drove audience engagement with sharp messaging and real-time relevance.

200k+Black Men Voting Forum drew in over 200k viewers

Case study 02 · Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund

The Great Rift Valley Innovation Summit

Supporting Homegrown Solutions in Ethiopia

Client

The Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF) is a global community of Ethiopians and allies investing in the country’s future. From healthcare workers in D.C. to artists in Austin and entrepreneurs in Addis, EDTF unites the diaspora around a shared mission: empower local innovators, strengthen essential infrastructure, and build a better future for the next generation.

Ethiopian-led, transparent, and entirely grassroots-funded, EDTF channels every birr and dollar into bold, homegrown solutions in the sectors that matter most.

Challenge

EDTF faced declining operations, donor fatigue, and an unclear strategic direction. They needed a bold reset to rebuild trust, reengage their global community, and reposition the Fund as a leader in grassroots, Ethiopian-led development. Zoran Creative Strategy was brought in to reimagine the brand, overhaul the Fund’s philanthropic approach, and launch a flagship initiative to drive long-term impact.

Approach

Zoran Creative Strategy led the development and launch of the Great Rift Valley Innovation Summit (GRV)—EDTF’s flagship initiative to invest in homegrown solutions across health, agriculture, education, and innovation.

In its first year, we mobilized $1.2 million in funding, awarded 18 non-dilutive grants (including a $150,000 top prize), and hosted Ethiopia’s first diaspora-led innovation summit in Addis Ababa.

To sustain momentum, we launched a six-month accelerator program in partnership with the UNDP Innovative Finance Lab, equipping grantees with capital, coaching, and tools to scale their impact.

6-MonthAccelerator Program launched April 2025, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme’s Innovative Finance Lab for all 18 grantees
